The Route
  • prerequisite for the consideration of a community as a stage host are both the recognition and competence to mount the necessary resources for a large-scale international race event
  • selection of communities as stage hosts that (i) have a widely recognized affinity to the sport of mountain biking, (ii) demonstrated competence in hosting previous professional MTB events, (iii) are attractive settings for media coverage and marketing purposes, (iv) pay particular attention to the unique needs of MTB racers
  • The route leads through the most beautiful mountain ranges of Germany and Austria

CRAFT BIKE TRANS GERMANY Hotel

Contestants who opt to arrange for their own accommodations on each stage usually travel without caravan but want to enjoy the amenities of hotel or B&B-style rooms. Reservations for these accommodations are typically made well in advance but in communities with a stage finish tourist information offices will try to help out with bookings on site. However, the availability of rooms at such short notice cannot be guaranteed. The race organizers will provide racers with a confirmed registration with the addresses of tourist information offices in each of the communities that host a stage start / finish.

Return Shuttle Service

Return shuttle by bus from the start to the finish can be booked for € 40.- (incl. applicable taxes) per person. Return transportation can be arranged for race participants, their luggage and bikes but only at the time of registration. Sign up for the shuttle bus service on the registration form. Your request for a return shuttle is binding and the applicable fee will be charged ahead of time by direct debit from your account. Shuttle busses will leave on Sunday, the day after the concluding stage. Bikes will be carried on separate trucks to the start, where they need to be picked up by their respective owners.
